Baker Tilly Legal Poland advised on and handled the process of the merger of EURALIS Semences and CAUSSADE Semences. The merger resulted in the forming of Lidea, an international breeding and seed production company with a global reach.
The merger in the Polish market was a result of the merger of EURALIS Semences and CAUSSADE Semences Group in the French market. It was completed in 2020 and was part of the merger in the European market. The merger of the two companies aims at becoming the leader in certain seed species on the European market, also in Ukraine and Russia. Following the merger, handled by a team of experts, Lidea is now in the TOP 10 of the largest seed production companies in the world and TOP 6 of the largest seed production companies in Europe with extensive human resources, technology and know-how. The merger provides Lidea with an opportunity to expand internationally while maintaining its roots and identity in southwest France. The company currently creates innovative and farm-tailored, sustainable variety solutions for many crop species, offering a wide range of corn, sunflower, cereal, canola, soybean, sorghum, legumes, forage plants and intercropping varieties in 48 countries around the world,
